Well we ended January with a few losers but the month was very good as a whole as we came out with just over 9.5 points in the bag. We nearly touched 20% return on investment, helped by a 30% strike rate. All in all a good month for my own portfolio and subscribers of
VATR
The weather has been playing havoc with my betting and runners and riders have had a tough few months of late. It's the worst I've encountered as a professional punter and I think anyone just starting out would wonder if they'd done the right thing! Trust me, if your portfolio is strong, you've done your research and your money management is well organised then you'll come through this laughing!
At this time of year I start to organise my strategies for the flat season and have to sift through hours of video footage of last years maidens to determine who may come along this year. Of course all this study will be going into
VATR's tips and I hope to have a good year this year. I hope that we won't have any adverse weather conditions this summer although a heat wave wouldn't go a miss!
This last weeks betting has been a very big disappointment with only Fighter Boy returning a 6.5 profit on the day. However I've managed to lose 13 points with the other bets so it puts us down to minus 6.50 points for the last week.
